SAVE THE FROGS! is a 100% volunteer organization. This website and everything else related to SAVE THE FROGS! was thought of, built, and completed on the free time of dedicated supporters. We are looking for volunteers who are pro-active, motivated, and dedicated. Regardless of your education or past work or volunteer experiences, if you are all those things then you can SAVE THE FROGS!
There are many things you can do -- you SHOULD do -- to help SAVE THE FROGS! prior to contacting us about volunteering.
First, sign up for our free electronic newsletter.
Second, spend a minimum of two hours surfing savethefrogs.com; Educate yourself, familiarize yourself with what SAVE THE FROGS! is all about. The more educated you are, the more effective an advocate you will be both for the frogs and for SAVE THE FROGS!.
Now, unless you have extremely specialized skills, please complete three of the tasks listed below before filling out the volunteer application at the bottom of this page.
Thanks, and have fun!
Dr. Kerry Kriger
SAVE THE FROGS! Founder & Executive Director
And your second and third! Please complete a minimum of three of the tasks below prior to filling out the volunteer application listed at the bottom of this page. Better yet, do as many of these tasks as you can.
Go to our Spread The Word page, and print and post some of the flyers.
Print the Save The Frogs Day petition. Fill up at least one page with your friends/coworkers' signatures, then send it to us. This is a fantastic way to spread the word and educate people, and it will help us get Save The Frogs Day legally recognized in your state.
Tell your friends frogs are the most threatened group of animals on the planet and you're trying to raise money for SAVE THE FROGS!. Collect $1 from each of 20 friends. It's only a buck! Carry an envelope around with you. When someone gives you a dollar (or five), put it in the envelope, as it looks more professional. This is a fantastic way to spread the word and raise funds, all at the same time. Don't be shy! Oh yeah, then place a donation.
Contact your (or your children's) teachers to inform them of Save The Frogs Day, and the Frog Poetry Contest and Frog Art Contest. You can also try the local or state school board (you may have to fight through some beauracracy).
Send out an email to ten people telling them about frog extinctions and savethefrogs.com. Make it look real, not like a spam letter: include some real information about frog extinctions.
Do you use Facebook? Become a fan: we're at http://facebook.com/savethefrogs. Now use the 'Suggest To Friends' feature and inform 20 of your friends of the Save The Frogs Page.
Do you use forums? If so, add a few thoughts/questions to our FrogForum. Get some conversations going.
Do you use Twitter? Please go follow us and more importantly, re-tweet (RT) us regularly, and tweet about us.
Set www.savethefrogs.com as your email's automated signature.
If you are a student, write an article about frog extinctions (mentioning savethefrogs.com!) for your school newspaper. Talk about frog extinctions on your school's radio station.
Do you use Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon, Flickr, or Gaia? If so, please let us know when you fill out this form.
Here it is...
(1) After submitting the form, verify that it is now telling you that the data was indeed submitted!.
(2)
Now email volunteer@savethefrogs.com to let us know you completed the form and are ready to volunteer. Thanks!
Please email volunteer@savethefrogs.com.
Thanks for your interest in SAVE THE FROGS!
